EMDR THERAPY

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured, evidence-based therapy that helps individuals process and heal from distressing or traumatic experiences.

At times, difficult experiences can feel “stuck,” continuing to impact how you think, feel, and respond in the present. EMDR works by helping the brain reprocess these memories so they feel less overwhelming, allowing you to move forward with greater ease and clarity.

During EMDR sessions, we use guided techniques such as bilateral stimulation (often through eye movements) to support the brain’s natural ability to process and integrate difficult experiences. Over time, this can reduce the emotional intensity of certain memories and shift the way they are stored and experienced.

EMDR can be helpful for a range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, distressing memories, and patterns that feel difficult to move through using traditional talk therapy alone.

Our approach to EMDR is thoughtful and paced, with a strong emphasis on safety, preparation, and collaboration. We take the time to ensure you feel supported and ready before beginning deeper processing work.

If you’re curious about whether EMDR may be a good fit, we’re happy to connect and answer any questions you may have.

Please note that EMDR Therapy is currently only offered by Jessica Jones.
